A tri-series is currently underway in Pakistan, involving teams from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe defeated Sri Lanka, the 2009 T20 World Cup winners, in the final. Batting first, Zimbabwe scored 162 runs. Sri Lanka was then bowled out for just 95, losing the match by a massive 67 runs.
Sikandar Raza batted strongly
For the Zimbabwe team, Brian Brennett played the highest innings of 49 runs. Apart from him, captain Sikandar Raza scored a total of 47 runs in 32 balls, which included three fours and two sixes. Ryan Burl scored 18 runs. It was because of these players that the Zimbabwe team was able to make a respectable score of 162 runs. From the Sri Lankan team, Wanindu Hasaranga took three wickets for 27 runs in four overs. Apart from him, Ishan Malinga took 2 wickets for 27 runs in four overs. Mahesh Theekshana and Dushmantha Chameera took one wicket each. But these players could not put pressure on the Zimbabwe batsmen.

Sri Lankan team's batsmen flopped
After this, no batsman from the Sri Lankan team was able to perform well. Because of this, the team had to face defeat. From Sri Lanka, only Dasun Shanaka and Bhanuka Rajapaksa were able to reach double figures. The rest of the players could not even reach double figures, let alone score runs. Shanaka scored 34 runs in 25 balls, which included two fours and two sixes. Rajapaksa scored 11 runs in 18 balls, which included one four. Due to the poor performance of the batsmen, the entire team was reduced to 95 runs in 20 overs.
